No Atheists
In A Foxhole

Rudyard Kipling

" “When you're left wounded on
Afganistan's plains and

the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle

and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur

" “We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”

“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.”
“Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace,
for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .”
“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died.
Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

MIC used my/our faith to suspend Makkal Osai
Friday, August 24, 2007
Move on, nothing to look at.............I am a Christian, Makkal Osai had apologized and the Catholic Church had accepted that apology. The Bishop representing the Catholics had. They, who were were opportunistic, moved in swiftly for the kill. There were some misguided Christian Leaders who had opened their mouths too soon, without thinking, meaning they did not engage their brains before their mouths ran away with their own self importance. I believe, they are regretting their run away mouths currently, for pouring petrol on the fire.

Makkal Osai is a rival to Tamil Nesan (Samy's propaganda organ). It has been severely critical of the shenanigans of the MIC, Samy Velu and his son. Makkal Osai, is closely linked to Samy Vellu’s rival and former MIC deputy S Subramaniam. In recent months it had been running regular articles on the sudden death of drama actress K Sujatha, impliedly linking her to Samy Vellu’s son Vell Paari who has denied any wrongdoing.

Makkal Osai has also been a vocal critic of Maika Holdings, the failed investment arm of MIC. It was in the midst of running a special feature on Maika in time for the company’s annual general meeting on Aug 30 (from Malaysiakini). What better way than to conduct a preemptive strike on Makkal Osai, as it was becoming a major pain in the butt.

To quote a letter writer in Malaysiakini, "There is enough intolerance as it is in the current political and religious climate of Malaysia. We should regard all statements and images - even if they are in bad taste - of Jesus Christ as a challenge and an opportunity to engage non-Christians in dialogue to explain the Gospel and our faith.

I want Christians in Malaysia to be known for their sense of tolerance, charity, religious conviction, commitment, and love but certainly not intolerance, humourlessness, insecurity or sensitivities. If other communities want to be overly sensitive or intolerant about these things, then that should be their choice. Censorship should be kept to a minimum in a free society. Incidents such as the one involving Makkal Osai would have been a good opportunity for Christians in Malaysia to tell their curious non-Christian friends about what they really believe in our multi-racial and multi-cultural society.

The last thing we need is a politically-inspired media circus with police reports by the MIC with BN pretending as if it was genuinely interested in protecting the rights and sensitivities of its religious minorities".

I say Amen to that, for I too am a Christian. MIC please concentrate on this, as you have been very loudly silent :

MINORITY RIGHTS

Demo at M'sian embassy London 31-8-07- Indians discriminated

Press Release 13/8/07 (source : police watch Malaysia)

ANNOUNCEMENT OF PROTEST AGAINST THE MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT

Hindu Human Rights is concerned about the ongoing abuses against Hindus and the denial of full civil and human rights to the Hindu citizens in Malaysia. Malaysia is hailed as one of South-East Asia's economic tigers but behind this glossy veneer lies a sinister and less well known Malaysia, the Malaysia of intolerance, racism and Talibanisation. Already subject to heavy discrimination in employment, study and general walks of life, Hindus have begun to suffer in more specific ways. Hindu temples are destroyed and desecrated regularly with the full backing of the government. Hindus are denied the right to follow their own faith, even in death, denied the right to a decent Hindu funeral. Forced into the economic and social margins, Hindus have become the prime victims of the religious and racial hatred which few commentators and Human Rights organisations even bother reporting on.

Therefore, on 31 August 2007, fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Malaysia, HHR will raise our concerns with a protest to draw attention to the plight of Hindus, as well as other minority groups who are being victimised.

Join us and let your voice be heard at 1.30 p.m opposite the Malaysian High Commission, 45–46 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8QT (nearest Tube stations: Hyde Park Corner and Victoria).

Thank you

Hindu Human Right
